GOLF.

THE TARAHUA CLUB. The Taraliua Club has just completed arrangements for the leasing of land adjoining their present links, on which to lay down nine more hales, making an eighteen hole course. McCormacU, the coach, who went over the new ground, I reported very suitably upon it, stating that the links when the new holes were completed should be among the best in the Dominion. The work of clearing tho ground and putting it nto first-class golfing order has already been commenced, and it is expected that the new holes will be ready for play in March of next year. The present holes are being improved, and it is hoped to enlarge the pavilion in time for next season's play. A team of ten men and four ladies • from the Inglewood Cluib are visiting Waitara on Thursday.
