HAWKE'S BAY J.C. WINTER .MEETING. SECOND DAY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hastings, Last Night. The Hawke's Bay Jockt y Cluli's winter meeting concluded to-i..iy in fine hut windy weather. The attendance was very large, and the totalisator receipts totalled £11,710, as against £5943 for the corresponding day last year. The total for the two days was £20,838, compared with £11,578 for the last winter meeting, an increase of £O2OO. Results:— Kidnappers Hack Handicap Hurdles, 100 sov8; ono a half miles.—Espartero 1, Dbnzel 2, D'Nil 3. Also started: Bollin. Cullinan, Merry Lawn, Euraka, Kildonan, Polyniees, Highden, Whitestoae, and Cairnbrogie. Won by half a length. Time, 2min 50sec. Havelock Hack Steeplechase Handicap, 120 sovs; about two miles.—Rosegrove 1, Castle Canter 2, Wirral '3. Also started: Don Carlos, Wanstead, Sunray, Sardonyx, Kohupatiki. Won by four lengths, six lengths between second and third. Time, 4min 2fisec. Hawke's Bay Hurdles, 300 sovs; two miles.—J. A. Lucas' Continuance (G. .Tones) 1, Centaur 2, Windage 3. Also started: Te Wlietu, Passive, Mallet, Leolanter, Tina Toa, Raupare, and The Rabbiter. Raupare and Leolanter fell. Continuance took charge a mile from home and won in a canter by five lengths, a length between second an«( third. Time, 3min 51sec. Ladies' Necklace, 65 sovs; once round. —Hilarian 1, Golden Water 2, Pohutu 3. Also ran: Obscurity, Monsieur Soult, Burton, Bas Blue, Scots Fusilier, Striga, Turqueena, Longboat, and Water o' Milk. Won by two lengths. Time, Imin 57sco. June Steeplechase Handicap, 250 sovs; about two and a half miles—Mr. C. Gordon's Lull (A. Gordon) I, Sir Lethe 2, Winiata 3. Also ran: Starlight. Won easily by a length. Winiata was a poor third. Time, smin 2sec. Raukawa Hack Handicap, 100 sovs; seven furlongs.—Gold Circle 1, Moutoa Girl 2, Otahu 3. Also started: Amaru, Stourton, Composed, Esmeh, Happy New Year, and Ha tana. Won easily by two lengths, a nose between second and third. Time, Imin. 32sec.
