OFFSHOOT OF CRIPPEN CASE.
SOLICITOR'S MISCONDUCT. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright London, June 20. The Law Society has found Arthur Newton, Crippen's solicitor, guilty of professional misconduct in giving the Daily Chronicle and John Bull what purported to be correspondence emanating from Crippen in gaol, knowing auch correspondence did not exist. The evidence showed that Newton concocted the letters. The High Court is considering the matter. Newton's counsel admitted that Mr. Horatio Bottomley, M.P., the editor of John Bull, contributed £3O towards Crippen's defence.
