THE MEAT TRUST.
AUSTRALIA WARNED. By Gable—Press Association—-Copyright Melbourne, June 21. In reply to an enquiry, the Minister of Customs has received a letter from the secretary of the Amalgamated * Butchers' Workmen of North America, wherein it saya that the meat trust has been reaching out to other countries, and that he had noticed an article in the American Meat Tfade Journal stating that the trust had secured control of large landed interests in Australia and intended shortly to develop .them. He utters a warning to be ready to protect workers against the oppression which ia bound to come if the trust secures a footing.
