Speaking at the Rugby League's welcome to the New Zealand footballers, Mr. Phelan said they should sit on the word professionalism whenever they heard it. The following New Zealand Maori football team will play a series of eight matches in the North Island during July and August:—Backs: Russell and Parohiwi (Ilawke's Bay), Kaipara and Rvland (Poverty Bay), Nuku, Rogers, and Bluett (Bay of Plenty), Grace (Wellington), Piki (Canterbury), Papakura (Southland). Forwards: Cunningham, Hall, and Sellars (Auckland), Takarangi. and J. Pini (Wanganui), Tamu and J. Martin (Taranaki), Hiahia (Horowhenua), „ Makahurt (Ilawke's Bay), Paaka Turei (Poverty Bay), McDonald (Marlborough). The first match, will be played at Napier on July 22nd.

THE UNIVERSITY TEAM. Wellington, Tuesday. The University team for Sydney is now constituted as follows:—Norrie, Dansie, Thomson, Tait, Potter, Ongley, Molloy (Otago); Mansell, Blank, Grace, Parr (Canterbury); Faire, Ryan, Quilliam, Brosnan, Curtayne, Robertson (Wellington); Schofield (Auckland).
