HOCKEY

CORONATION DAY. In connection with the Taranaki Hockey Association's great tournament to be held on the Hecreation Sports Ground to-morrow (Thursday), the following arc the draws:— Ladies' Tournament.—First round: Hawera v. Bltham; Otakeho v. Kaponga; Whakatika A v. Inglewood; Whakatrka B, a bye. Men's Tournament.—First round: New Plymouth B v. Tataraimaka B; lhaia v. Waitara; Hawera A v. Inglewood A; New Plymouth D v. Tataraimaka A; Hawera B v. "Eltham; Stratford A v. New Plymouth C; Stratford B v. New Plymouth E; New Plymouth A v. Inglewood B.

Everything is now in train for a very successful hockey tournament. All that is wanted now is good weather. The official's are as follow:—Judges for running events: Messrs. F. P. Corkill, F. Roibertson, V. H. Beal, Dr. Fookes; starter, Mr. E. Humphries; stewards, Messrs. A. Humphries, H Stocker, ,T. MeLeod, J. Clarke, J. E Avery, VV. 11. Wood, G. Pott, Paton, Perry, Howden; referees, Messrs. F Robertson, V. H. Beal, Patterson, King; ground secretary, Mr. H. Stockertimekeeper, Mr. A. Humphries. Donations have been received from Mr. H. Halliwell, of Hawera, and Mr A. S. Hascll, of New Plymouth, towards trophies for the tournament. /
