Tudor, Federal Minister for Customs, for increased Customs duties. He replied that before he prepared a scheme of revision of duties he must learn the amount of capital invested in the industries, and the proportion of wages paid to the cost of the finished article. Let them tell him how much capital was invested,; then he would have something to go upon. He added that tne workers will want to know how much capital is invested because they will be expected to Inake profit* on that capital, and tbeir wages will be judged accordingly.
