A SLEEP WALKER'S STROLL. i lly Tel:graph.—Press Association. Auckland, Monday. A policeman on duty at Newmarket early this morning found a "young woman in night attire walking in her sleep. On being awakened she was unable to give any account of herself, being in an exhausted condition from exposure. She was removed to the hospital. It subsequently transpired that the woman, who is employed by an Onehunga resident, is an efficient and industrious servant. She retired ailiout 9.30 last night, and evidently walked in a somnambulistic condition a distance of about six miles. In the hospital she recovered her memory, except that she had no recollection of the incident overnight. THE HOLIDAY MUDDLE. Wellington, Monday. At a meeting of the advisory committee of the New Zealand Employers' Federation to consider the holiday muddle, a resolution was passed that, as Government departments are only observing Thursday as a holiday, thug making the Prince of Wales Birthday generally observed on that day, all employers of labor be advised to take the holiday for the Prince of Wales' Birthday on Coronation Day, in lieu of Friday, and that all mayors and chairmen of local bodies throughout New Zealand be requested to net similarly.
