NAVAL STATION REMOVAL.
FROM SYDNEY TO AUCKLAND. By cable.—Press Association-—Copyright Received 19, 11.5 p.m. Sydney, .Tune 1!). Talk in Government circles indicates that there is a probability of the naval headquarters removing to Auckland in about a year's time. Admiralty House will then revert to the State. This is considered a suitable residence for the Governor-General, and possibly it will be so arranged. The Lord Mayor promised a deputation of representative citizens to call a public meeting to discuss the State's proposal to deprive the Governor-Gen-eral of his present Sydney residence, which has aroused 60 much hostility amongst the supporters of the Opposition.
