ODDFELLOWSHIP.
LOYAL EGMOXT LODGE. The quarterly meeting of the Loyal Egmont Lodge, 1.0.0.1'*, was held last evening, Bro. O. A. Matheson, X.G., presiding. The attendance was rather small for quarter night. One candidate was proposed for membership, and two candidates were initiated, viz., Messrs. Ij. B. Parsons nn(l*"S. O. Parsons, who, with their father, had come from Opunnke to be initiated. Bro. Parsons on- s joys the unique distinction of having five -soils as members of his own lodge. Tito event was favorably commented oil by P.P.G.M. Harris Ford, who, in a neat speech, complimented Bro. Parsons on tlio loyalty he had shown in bringing live of his own family into the Order. It was decided that the Ixidge would take part in the Coronation celebrations. The officers for the ensuing term were installed by the elective Master, »Bro. J. H. McGahev. asfollows:G.M., Bro. Mathoson; X.G., Bro. llrabaut; V.G., Bro. W. Woods; elective secretary, Bro. W. A MERITED HONOR. During the course of the Egmont Lodge meeting last night Bro. W. Hooker wa« presented with a Past <!rand's jewel, awl his name was ordered to be inscribed on the merit board. Mr, Hooker has had a somewhat exceptional career in the lodge. He was initiated in April, 187!), and took office at the following meeting . He held every office in the lodje twice, and was elective secretary for forty-three half-yearly terms in succession. Then he had two years' spell, anil then "went through the chairs" again, and left the (Jrand Master's chair last night, once more being elected as minute secretary and entering 011 what th« members hope will be another lengthy term in that office, for he is a punctilious officer, jjuring the whole period of membership he lias never missed a lodgn meeting unless he was out of town, and.
