A special meeting of the Taranaki Football Association was held on Thursday at Eltham to consider the challenge from Wanganui and to discuss the complaint made by the New Plymouth Club to the New Zealand Association. It was decided to entertain Wanganui at Hawcra on Coronation Day, and it was left in the hands of the Haweia Club to make all arrangements to receive them. The team picked from North and South is as follows:—Goal, Veale (Stratford); backs, Bullock (Manaia), Haseltine (Eltham); half-backs, Lovcll (Kaponga), Stapleton (Manaia), Elliott (New Plymouth); forwards, Gwillim (New Plymouth), J. Smart (Hftwera), Spice (Hawcra), Scholfield (Stratford), Low (Kaponga). Reserves: Goal, Legg (New Plymouth); half-back, McCallum (Eltham), forward, Allen (Stratford). Mr. J. Morgan, of Stratford,. has been appointed referee for the match'. The New Plymouth Club intends to arrange a match with Hawcra, to be play- : cd half-way, but the dato is not yet < fixed.
