BENEFIT PERFORMANCE. I The Taylor-Carrington Musical Comedy Company will produce "The Girl from Chicago" and " 'Arry and 'Arriet" in the Theatre Royal on the 7th July. ! The .performance is being given as a benefit for Mr. Fred Stephens, who ha» had the misfortune to lose one of his limbs. Tickets arc in circulation, and the public should readily respond to what is a very deserving object. THE IMPERIAL CONOERT. The Coronation Night concert is attracting more attention as the date draws near. The special series or patriotic pictures to be screened by Mr. G. H. Saunders is said to be exceptionally fine, these o>eupying Rjha second half of the programme. The first portion of the concert will also bo well worthy of the occasion, comprising items by the best vocalists in the district. The items to be submitted will be in keeping with the occasion. An item that promises to be more than usually attractive is to be given by the Central .School Boy Scouts. The proceeds will be devoted to'relievmg the guarantors who enabled the Park Tennis Club to carry out such improvements to Pukekura Park, making available, useful, and enjoyable to th« public a piece of ground that was formerly a wedy waste. BIOCRAPH PICTURES.
To-night is agnin change night at tho Theatre Royal, when Mr. G. 11. Saunders presents another completely new programme. Patrons will find that, the, films to lie screened are quite up to the standard of excellence that has come to be synonymous with the name of Saunders. The programme, as usual, is of a u. versified elm meter, embracing subject* of a dramatic, scenic, educational, top*. cal and comic nature. The dramatic films are all stars, and include "Stars nn <t Stripes," "Two Paths," "The Telephone." and "Love and the Law.- "The Bee Hunter" is an exeeptionallv tine educational film. The scenic* include "On the East Riviera" and "The Henley Regntta." Four comedies are depicted They comprise, "Story of a Pair of Roots," "Recreations of an Heiress," "-V Lucky Toothache." "Davy Jones" and Captain Bragg.' 1 A matinee will be held at 2.30 this afternoon, to which school children will lie admitted for 3d The programme will be. repealed on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
