At the monthly meeting of the School Committee <t deputation wis received from Ilmia road requesting assistance in the matter of a school on that rond, and presenting a list of fourteen children who are now of school aga and reside over three miles from any school. —rt was resolved to support the application. The headmaster reported that lie had obtained the services of Mr. Bourne, of the X.X. Loan and Mercantile Company, as instructor in bookkeeping. Tt was unanimously resolved to nominate the Rev. James MeArtlmr as cannula te for the vacancy in the Western Ward on the Taranaki Education Board.
