DOMINION DAIRY SHOW.
CARNIVAL WEEK. The Dominion Dairy Show is an event of general importance to Taranaki, and affords so much instruction and enjoyment that it awakens in all a very lively interest. Rapid progress is being made with the preparations, and the secretary, Mr. Conroy, is now in a position to* briefly outline some of the events which arc to take place during carnival week. Lord Islington, who will be the guest of Mr. A. Gillies, will arrive in Hawera on Tuesday, July 4, and that evening he will attend a lecture to be delivered the IT ® n - T - Mackenzie in the Opera House. On the following morning he will probably visit the Wa.matc Plains, and will return in time to open the show at ] 2 o'clock. In the afternoon ho will be accorded a reception bv farmers and will be entertained at dinner by the Winter Show Company, taking his departure from Hawera the following on B st t}le important fixtures £Mr« Wee £ f e the Wanganui-Taranaki football match and the Plumpton Club's meeting. Arrangements have been made for lectures to be delivered at the Technical School by Government instructors, dealing specially with subjects of vital importance to farmers during the week.
