MR. LLOYD-GEORGE'S GREAT SCHEME. By Cable— Press Association—Copyneht London, June 11. Mr. Lloyd-George, addressing a gathering of 4000 at Birmingham Town Hall, had a great reception. He explained tlie Insurance Bill. In the course of his speech he said that workmen at present paid more than the fourpence a week required for insurance to the pawnbroker. The benefits now offered were only the beginning; the rest would accrue without additional charge to tne employee.
He added that the first essential was to clear Britain of the foul habitations in great cities. "I would treat," said Mr. Lloyd-George, "the man receiving rent or ground rent from an insanitary dwelling as the receiver nf cl.olcn property."
