By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wanganui, Last Night. The competition for the battalion shield took place on Saturday in fine weather. Six teams competed, with the following results:— Wiftiganui Rifles, 935; Manchester Rifles, 924); PaJmerston Rifles, 901; Wanganui Guards, BS6; Wanganui Highlffnders, 874; Mar'ton Royals, 866.
