ALLEGED WBONGFUL DISMISSAL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The case in which A. B. Reynolds claimed £3OOO damages from the Crewn for alleged wrongful dismissal from the Customs Department was concluded in the Supreme Court to-day, judgment being given for the Crown with costs. Leave was reserved to petitioner to move within 28 days to have the judgment set aside, and stay of execution was granted for that time. AUCKLAND SESSIONS. Auckland, Last Night. In the charge of perjury against Hona Wiremu Pake at the Auckland Supreme Court, a verdict of guilty was returned, and prisoner sentenced to two years' imprisonment. A young man named John Clark pleaded not guilty to charges of indecency. The evidence failed to determine the question of identity, and the jury, without leaving the box, returned a verdict of not guilty. PALMERSTON SESSIONS. Palmcrston N., Last Night. The Supreme Court continued to-day. William George Davis was found not guilty of breaking, entering and the theft of £0 7s Od from a dwelling at Linton.
