SERIOUS STRIKE INCIDENTS
FREE FIGHT WITH FREXCH POLICE By cable. —Press Association.—Copyright Received 2, 1 a.m. Paris, May 1. Serious strike incidents, including shooting eases, liave been frequent during the last few days.
Yesterday a number of anarchists and socialists assembled at the prison gates to welcome the release of women imprisoned in connection with the May Day demonstrations. The police intervened to prevent a procession. A free fight ensued, revolvers being fired .'jjfeely. Two .sergeants, nine policemen and a number of others were seriously injured. Several arrests were made.
