GRIFFITHS AN"D CO.'S PR0,,..K REPORT. Messrs. E. Griffiths and Co. are in receipt of the following market report from their London principals, Messrs. Mills and Sparrow, dated April *2l: The weather continues to be very dry, and the nights are still cold. BUTTER. Danish. —At the reduction advised last week there has been a good trade, and all the finest butters are' cleared. Siberian. —Arrivals show an increase of 2000 casks over last week, the total being about 8200 casks. These arc practically all fresh-made butters, and are selling fairly well at prices ranging from 94s to 100s. The butter is of good quality and is pleasing. A few stored are offering at from 70s to 80s. Australian.—Arrivals this week have been heavy, the following steamers hav-, ing arrived: s.s. Orsova with 25,750 boxes butter, Waipara 14,500, Palmero 32,750, Medic 8700. Wakool 1400, and Moravian 10,300; a total of 93,400 boxes. These, with the exception of the latter ship, will, however, not be available until next week. The demand has been particularly good for those of a secondary nature. The prices arc firm, but there'is no real advance in the quotations. The dry weather has helped the trade, particularly on the secondary, very materially. New Zealand.—The s.s. Tongariro is not due in dock until next Friday, so that her butters will not be available for next week's trade. This has caused prices to harden somewhat on the few which were remaining on the floors ex s.s. Athenie. CHEESE. Canadian. —>Jo change to report. Holders are firm, and show no disposition to give way in prict. New Zealand. —The demand all over the country continues good. Prices are. well maintained, and we look for a good demand for tliose arriving by the s.s. Tongariro. Frozen Pork.—Trade slower.
