FIRES.
A HOUSE DESTROYED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night, An eight-roomed house in Selborne street, Grey Lynn, owned by Mr. Darling, of Coromandel, and occupied by Mr. Carter, was totally destroyed by fire to-night, the adjoining houses being damaged by the flames, the one occupied by Mrs. Baker suffering most severely. Mr. Carter and his wife and children were absent when the fire broke out. No information as to insurances are available.
