PLAGUE IN AUCKLAND.

BUILDINGS DISINFECTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Tuesday. Following the discovery of plague rats in Queen street cellars, two restaurants have been closed by order of the authorities to enable them to be thoroughly disinfected and made rat proof. One will be opened for business on Monday. The lessee had permission to re-open this evening, but preferred to take advantage of a temporary closing to have a complete renovation made. The health officer does not anticipate any fresh cases, as the plague season almost invariably ends in June.
