ELECTRIC CARS COLLIDE.

MOTORMAN INJURED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchureh, May 27. A collision occurred on the Riccarton tram line at about 11 o'clock this morning. The water waggon, driven by Motormnn Taylor, was on its' way into town when an electric car, outward bound, collided with it. The water waggon had stopped preparatory to putting back to a loop, but the car, which was driven by Motorman Joseph Graves, could not be brought to a standstill fo time owing to the greasy state of the rails. The impact was very severe, and the front part of the electric car was badly shattered. Motorman Graves, who was badly shaken and sustained a wound on one of his legs, was removed to the hospital, where at latest inquiries be was progressing very satisfactorily.
