A HOMESTEAD BURNED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gisbornc, Monday. The old Te Arai homestead, consisting of twelve rooms, owned and occupied by, Mrs. Winifred Knapmann, was totally destroyed by Are yesterday morning, pno of the workmen, who was sleeping in the house, was just pot out in time by Mr. Knapmann. The house was insured in the State Office for £3OO and the furniture for £125. It is not yet too late to buy preference shares. They must turn to substantial profit. To-morrow may be too late.
