WRECK OF THE MANDALAY.
A PLUCKY SAILOR. CONSIDERABLE HARDSHIPS. By Cable —Prow Association—Copyright Received 29, 1 a.m. Perth, May 28. The Mandalay's castaways have arrived. The vessel was driven off her course by gales. The captain ran ashore on a sandy beach. Ward, the only Englishman aboard, at great risk, carried a life-line ashore whereby the "balance of the crew landed safely. They suffered considerable hardships on the overland journey. The Mandalay has a hole in her bottom, whilst the mainmast 5s pone. The vessel is embedded in the sand and seas arc breaking over it. It is unlikely that she will be refloated.
