Share quotations. —Waihi, 80s and 62s 6d; Junction, 20s 3d and 27s (id'; Talisman, 51s 3d and 53s 9d. Silver, 24 9-10 d. Received 20, 9.5 p.m. London, May 26. Butter. —Market dull. English is filling all the country markets, there being no demand for colonial. Pikes are practically unchanged, but the tendency is downwards. Large quantities are being stored. Cheese.—Dull. New Zealand, white, 55s to 58s 6d; colored, 595. Wheat.—The markets are dull. Speculation has ceased owing to the breaking up of the drought in Southern Russia. There will be enormous world's shipments. Prices are slightly easier; 35s 4d is asked for South Australian sailers, February shipment; 35s for March; 34s fid for April, May and June; and 34s lO'/ad for New South Wales March shipment. There is slow demand for Australian spot at 36s 6d to 30s 7dJ. New Zealand, 35s to 35s 6d. Flour.—Market dull, Spot 24s 9d, forward about 235. Oats.—Scarce. Gartons, 20s Cd to 22s per quarter; sparrowbills, 20s to 21s 6d. Copper.—Spot, £55; three months, £55 lis 3d. Tin—Forward, £IBB 10s. I<ofQd, £l3. Iron, £46 10s. Spelter, £24 7s Gd. Wool.—Bradford markets quieter, slightly weaker tendency. THE MONEY MARKET. - Short loans. 6% • per cent.; three months bills 2 5-16 per cent; Paris, 2 per cent.; Berlin, 2% per cent.
