PETROLEUM NEWS
TARANAKI COMPANY. At No. 5 bore, which is now down over 1800 ft, unmistakable evidences of oil were encountered yesterday. Drilling is proceedingly actively. There is no variation in the flow of oil at both No. 2 and No. 3. It is not yet too late to buy preference shares. They must turn to substantial profit. To-morrow may be too late. Send to Walter Bewlev, New Plymouth.— Advt.
