THE VISIT OF VARDON. By cable,—Press Association.—Copyright Sydney, May 24. VardDn, the golfer, has definitely decided to visit Australia and New Zealand, NGAMOTU CLUB. On Tuesday the second round for the Weston Cup was played. Results:— Miss Read defeated -Mrs. llaslam, !> up and 4. Mrs. Gunson defeated Miss McKellar, 3 up and 1. Mrs. Johns defeated Miss Hall, 8 up and 7. Miss Bewley defeated 'Miss F. Evans, 7 up and 5. Miss M. Evans defeated Miss Glasgow, 1 up.
Miss Brewster defeated Miss D. Simpson, , r > up and 4. Miss Bludell had a bye from Miss "Ryan, and Mrs. Paton a bye from Miss Standish. To-morrow (Friday) the Coronation Medal will be played for, and on the following Tuesday the Edmonds Medal. TARAHUA CLUB. A mixed foursomes match takes place this afternoon for a prize donated bv Mr. T. Furlong. Members of the club will be interested to learn that the 'bus will leave town for the links at 1.4.3 p.m. on Saturdays in future, returning at the usual hours.
