A minority of the council of tlie Soutli Wales Miners' Federation declined to re-1 commend the Cambrian miners to accept the agreement offered by the mine-own-ers. Delegates from all parts of the coalfields meet to consider the agreement on Saturday. If rejected contrary to the Miners' Federation of Britain, the latter may withhold their weekly contribution, which amounts to -C3OOO, to the strike funds. AN APPEAL FOR IIF.LP. M.P.. appealing for funds for the relief of the miners who went on strike at Rondda Valley (South Wales) last September. Mv. Hardic states that as no settlement has been arrived at and 111" dispute mar go on for some time, there is a cood deal of sufferinir, and there are hundreds who are not in receipt nf strike pay from the Union Relief funds have been opened up and the committee has authorised Mr. Keir Hardic to make an appeal to the miners of New Zealand. (!lovcr (secretary nf the New Zealand Federation of Labor) and to Mr. James Young (secretary (if the Trades and Tabor Council), asking them to appeal to the unions affiliated to their federations for help.
