REJOICINGS IN GREYMOUTH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Greymouth, Last Night. This afternoon a great crowd assembled to Witness the laying of the foundation stone of the new Presbyterian Church by Rev. John McKcnzie, of Christchurch. The ceremony was attended by leading citizens and all ministors of religion in the district. A large choir rendered anthems, and the Sunday School children sang hymns. Close on £iioo in donations was laid on the foundation stone. The Rev. MeKenzic is being entertained at a social to-night. COMPULSORY SECONDARY EDUCATION. Wanganni, Last Night. The Wanganui Education Board this evening decided to take steps to put into force section 18 of the Education Amendment Act of last session, providing for the compulsory attendance at. the Technical School. The regulations required are to be prepared for next meeting. THE IRISH DELEGATES. Napier, Last Night. Mr. Ilazelton, Irish Home, Rule deleprate, was accorded a public reception today, and welcomed by the Mayor (Mr. J. Vigor Brown. M.P.) To-night Mr. Hazel ton addressed a large mectinc in the Theatre Royal. It was announced that approximately £2OO had been collected in this district. THE CAMPBELL CRECHE. Auckland, Tuesday. The Campbell creche was opened and dedicated to-day by Bishop Crosslev, Warden of the Order of the Good Shepherd. The building is a gift from Sir John Logan Campbell, and cost £'2ooo. In it sick or working mothers can leave their children, knowing that every care will be taken of them. '
