ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
A GIG ACCIDENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Blenheim, Wednesday. A gig containing Mrs. Gosling and Miss Rankin capsized near Koromiko yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Gosling escaped with a shaking, but Miss Bankin had both arms broken below the elbow. A MINER KILLED. Waihi, Wednesday. Jas. Samson, aged about 50, was accidentally killed in the Waihi mine by the sudden dislodgemcnt of a couple of tons of quartz which fell on him from the roof. He leaves a wife and grownup family. He was about to give up mining for farming.
