WANGANUI GAMES. There was only one senior Rugby matcli in Wanganui 011 Saturday, Wanganui Slnb defeated Kaierau by 11 to 5, after a fast, open game—the best game seen in Wanganui for several seasons, Kaierau took the field with eleven men. Wanganui backs immediately initiated .1 passing rush. Southcombe going over ai the corner. The kick failed. Kaierau were then strengthened and dashed into the fray with great violence. Sweeping forward rushes carried the game from end to end, and Kaierau were finally rewarded with a try, Lyons scoring under the uprights. The try was converted. Til the second spell brilliant play was shown by both backs and forwards, the Wanganui backs showing to most advantage. Half-way through the spell Campion scored for Wanganui and Southcombe converted. Just on the call of time the same player kicked a fine goal from a mark, leaving Wanganui victors by 11 to s.—Own correspondent.
