CHARGE AGAINST JUDGES.
MR. ALL FA' RETURNS TO THE ATTACK. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Tuesday. Tn a speech at St. .fumes' Hall last night, Mr. .lames Allen reiterated his allegations that the Courts of Justice were improperly interfered with. He said that a judge might, perhaps unconsciously be influenced by a Government voting money in the form of an appropriation in payment for his services to the community or on commissions. He instanced the fact that the Chief Justice was a member of the Statutes Compilation Committee, which cost the Dominion £sfi2(i, and a member of the Native Lands Commission, which cost £9842.
