ASTONISHING THE TRADE. By cable, —Press Association.—Copyright Sydney, May IC. Many persons have written to the Minister of Works stating that they are prevented from building owing to the high price of bricks, and asking the Government to supply them. The Minister states that unless brickmakers make a material reduction in their price before January the Government will comply with the request and supply bricks a price which will astonish the trade.
