The Daily Mail states lliat Sir Ernest Shackleton's appeal on behalf of Dr. Mawson's expedition has been an immense success. Dr. Mawson's ship will leave the Thames at the end of June and go to Melbourne and thence to Hobart, which is the final port of departure. THE JAPANESE EXPEDITION.. Sydney, May 13. The Japanese explorers intend to leave for the Antarctic in three months.
