Wheat.—Market closes a shade easier, and on the decline for American, due to the better weather reports, but a strong Continental demand continues with Home and British speculation rendering a serious relapse improbable, although the European crop outlook is favorable. Holders me asking 35s Gd for South Australian steamers (January) and 35s 3d for New South Wales April shipment. An Australian rargo sold at 35s l J / 2 d and two others at 35s 3d. There is improved demand for Australian on the spot at 37s to 37s Cd. Flour.—More active; c.i.f., South Aus-tralian-Victorian shipment, 23s (Id to 23s Ad. Slow demand for spot at 24s (id to 255. Oats.—Firm, and high prices restricting sales. Gartons, 20s to 225; sparrowbills, 19s Od to 21s fid; La Plata, MayJune shipment, 14s 9d. Beans—Tn small supply. On the spot, 35s to 35s Od. DAIRY PRODUCE. Butter.—Quiet. Danish unchanged. A few choicest colonials arriving sell readily. Australian snlted, 90s to 98s, and occasionally 100s; unsalted,. 102s; a few lines 104s. New Zealand salted, 104s to 100s; unsalted, 108s; secondaries, neglected. European supplies arc increasing rapidly.
Cheese.—Steady. New Zealand colored in better demand at 02s.
