HUNTING
On Thursday the members of the Xoith Taranaki Hunt Club met at Urcnui, where luncheon had been provided by ilr. Halcombe (the master) at the Ireinii Hotel. By permission of the owners, the properties nf Messrs Taylor, Crawford, Smith and Sheard were limited over. Some still' jumps were encountered, but nevertheless the jumping was the best yet seen. There were soma exceptionally {rood runs, one of three, miles and another of four and a-hnlf miles. There were six kills during the afternoon. In the evening the ladies of I'l-emii entertained the huntsmen at a dance, which, despite the short notice, proved most enjoyable.
