PIRATES OF PENZANCE. The New Plymouth Operatic Society will commence rehearsal of the "Pirates of I'erizance" on Monday evening next, when all members are asked to make a point of being present... A trial caste has been selected for the various characters, with understudies for each, but it is intended to have a further trial) for both principals and understudies be-' fore the caste is finally arranged. With an increased membership this year, and mider the able conductorahip of Mr. Rcnaud, the local amateurs should be just as successful in "The Pirates" as they were in "Dorothy."
