At a meeting of the Australian members of the Commerce Congress, the chairman referred to the wonderful growth of trade. Australian wool exports last year were nearly 687 million pounds in weight, while the wheat exported was valued at £9,021,800. Financial strength was disclosed by the banking position. Capital and assets had increased from £209,009,000 in 1909 to £20,160,000 last year, the deposits increasing by nearly £17,000,000.
