In some cases where decreases are shown the cause will generally be found to be in sub-division, or the creation of an internal local body. ECMOXT COUXTY. Mr. J. S. S. Medley has now received the final returns for the Egmont county. They show- that the population is now 3207, as against 2893 in 1900, an increase of 374.
