BIBLE IN SCHOOLS.
A HOSTILE LEAGUE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. A meeting of about fifty to-night formed a Secular Education Defence League, and adopted the platform of the Wellington League. Speakers condemned the decision of the town school committees in permitting Bible-teaching in schools by ministers, considering this an evasion of the spirit if not the letter of the Act. These lessons began last week.
