HIS MAJESTY'S ACCESSION.
THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Yesterday was the anniversary of the accession of King George V. to the throne, and in honor of the occasion the Acting-Prime Minister (Hon. J. Carroll) and members of the Cabinet made a formal call on Captain Wemyss, of H.M.S. Cambrian, from which a Royal salute was fired at mid-day.
I'jie New Zealand ensign flew from tha flagstaff on the tower of the Government Buildings in New Plymouth on Saturday to mark the occasion.
