THE TERRA NOVA. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Duncdin, Friday. A deputation,from the Otago Institute received confirmation from the Hon. J. A. Millar regarding the charter of the Terra Nova for deep-sea work, and to take soundings, particularly round the Solanders, Three Kings, and on the Lyt-♦telton-Wlellington route, where rocks were reported unknown to exist before. The charter begins on July 1. CONCESSIONS FOR SICK WORKERS. Wellington, Friday. The Wellington Trades Council has appointed a deputation to wait on the Acting-Premier, the' Minister for Railways and the Minister for Public Health to ask that a concession be granted in the way of reduced fares to any working man who, being ill, wishes to go to a Government sanatorium for treatment; also that a reduced rate be charged for sick working men the inmates of a sanatorium. BURGLARY. . Wellington, Friday. During last night the Petone Working Men's Club was broken into and £l3 8s 4d taken from the drawers in which the stewards kept money received for the sale of tobacco.
