The warships Pegasus, Sealark and Fantome have been paid off. The Pegasus becomes the drill ship on the Australian station, and the Fantome and Sealark will be recommissioned as surveying ships. SAVINGS BANKS. Sydney, May 5. The Government is considering a scheme for amalgamating the two Government savings banks with a view to preventing' competition and saving expense.
