DARGAVILLE ITEMS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dargaville, Las Night. The working of the Hospital Board under the new Act, according to the chairman of the local Board, shows a decided improvement, the chief feature being the large decrease in the amount .spent in outdoor relief. During April the Northern Wairoa Dairy Co. manufactured 39,0231bs of butter, an increase of 18y 2 per cent, over the corresponding month last year. POLITICS. Masterton, Last NightMr. W. C. Buchanan, 31.P., addressed a meeting of electors at Carterton tonight. He traversed the legislation of the last session, and strongly critic' o '" the financial operations of the Government. He was accorded a hearty vote of thanks and confidence.
