IS CABINET AFRAID? By Gable—Press Association—Copyright Adelaide, May 5. A deputation representing Renmark fruit-growers waited on the Chief Secretary to ask protection in connection with the strike there. They stated that a reign of terror existed and alleged the commission of crimes, including tl' • burning of buEdings, the poisoning o' -rater troughs, and the shooting of a watchman.
The proceedings were Btonny, and the Government was freely accused of shirking its duty because it was afraid of Trades Hall.
