THE HOUNDSDITCH MURDERS
CHARGES OF CONSPIRACY. By cable.—Press Association.—Copyright London, May 2. After some evidence had been given in the Houndsditch murder trial, Mr. Justice Grantham advised the Crown to withdraw the charge of being accessories after the fact against Peters, Dubof and Vassilcva. Mr. Justice Grantham remarked that the Crown must show that the accessory knew the murder had been committed, adding that it was doubtful whether it could be proved that the prisoners were escaping from justice.
Mr. Bodkin, counsel for the Crown, acquiesced in tliis opinion. The trial of the four for conspiracy to enter the shop is being proceeded with.
