THE KNYVETT CASE
TRIAL AT AUCKLAND REFUSED. By Telegraph. —Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Mr. J. S. Dickson, chairman of the Ivnyvett Defence Committee, this afternoon reecived the following wire from the Adjutant-General, Wellington:—"The General Ollicer Commanding regrets that your request for the court-martial to sit in Auckland instead of in Wellington cannot be acceded to. The expenses of a limited number of witness relevant to the charge or to character will be paid to and from Auckland." Mr. Dickson remarked that the committee was not satisfied with the nature of the reply from headquarters, and will continue to agitate in favor of the trial being conducted in Auckland.
