By Telegraph.—Press Association. • f i Christchurch, Last Night ?■ The court of directors of the Royal Humane Society made the following awards to-day:— In the case of Frederick Albert Saunders, aged 34, for rescuing Messrs Skew, Slater, Ellis and McGuirk from drowning at Kau Point, Wellington harbor, oh November 22, 1910—bronze medal. In the case of Leslie Alexander Henderson, aged 20, for rescuing Cecil Arthur ' Brews, aged 3% years, from injuries or death at Newtown, Wellington, on September 5, 1010—certificate. In the case of John Biddle Allison, aged 20, for rescuing Alice Morgan, aged 11, from drowning at Kairaki on January 18, 1911—certificate. In the case of Eric Parks Greenhough, aged 12 years, for rescuing Henry Louis • ' Jennings, aged 45 years, from drowning at Sentinel-road Bay, Ponsonby, on Janus ary 5, 1910—bronze medal and framed ' certificate. -s In the case of William Hastie, aged 20, 1 for rescuing Gerald German, middle- • aged, from being trampled to death at Dunedin on September 7, 1910—certificate. In the case of William Richard Cran- ' dall, aged about 40 years, in attempting - to rescue John F. Schaffer, aged 30 years, from drowning at Auckland on December 3,l9lo—bronze medal and framed certificate. In the ease of William Currie, aged 18, for attempting to rescue Archibald Mac- . . Kenzie, aged 22 years, from drowning at Balclutha on February 19, 1911—bronee medal and framed certificate. * In the case of Hariett Gibbs, aged 22, and Olive Da vies, 20. years, for rescuing -v*, Olga Denize from drowning at Coroman- < y del on February 15,1911 —certificates. » In the case of William Morran, aged j, 33, who rescued Ernest W. Edmonds, aged 44, from drowning at Bowentown harbor, Thames, on December 31, 1910, the facts showed that Morran was three ; hours in the water before he could, get Edmonds ashore. A gold medal was awarded.
