WESTPORT LICENSING CASES

AN APPEAL UPHELD. By Telegraph—Press Association. Westport, Last Night. The judgment of Mr. Justice Denniston in the licensing eases, police v. Martin Ryan, and the police v. Patrick Ryan, charged with selling liquor on Monday, December 26th (which was observed as Xmas Day), was delivered today. These came as appeals by the police from the judgment of Mr, "Rawson, S.M.. in dismissing the information charging M. and P. Ryan with selling liquor on the above date. Mr. Justice Denniston upheld the appeal, with £5 5s costs in each case.
