NEW ZEALAND RUGBY LEAGUE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Rugby League (Northern Union (rules) was held here this evening, the Auckland, Southland, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki and Nelson provincial leagues being represented. The report referred to the rapid strides made by the game during the past season, the prineipcl event of which was the visit of the British team.

The balance-sheet showed that the sum of £1035 had passed through the treasurer's hands during the season, a small credit balance being left. The new council of management was elected as follows: Messrs. Mulholland (Auckland), J. C. Glceson (Hawke's Bay), A. E. Powell (Southland), W. T. Wynyard (Taranaki), and A. J. Powley (Nelson). Mr. E. W. Watts was elected secretary, and Mr. D. W. McLean treasurer. At a subsequent meeting of the ooufccKl. Mr. J. C. Gleeson was elected president of the council, and in appreciation of the honor donated a set of gold medals to be given to the team holding the provincial shield at the end of the season. A new rule was added to the effect that no delegate or officer of the New Zealand League shall be registered as a player.
